After some thought and discussions with @Amanda and @urara I blogged about how I prepare for typhoons. After I check the weather report and do my shopping, I usually cozy up with a book or a movie, some comfort food and drinkies to wait out the storm. Here's hoping Raijin and Fujin are calmer this year. https://www.city-cost.com/blogs/TonetoEdo/MpoPZ-living_howto_ibaraki_chiba_tokyo_kanagawa_shizuoka

Please everyone keep safe with the big typhoon coming!
I tend to stock up on food (we never know). I also put inside whatever on the balconies that could be blown up by the wind including small plant pots. I have a few cardboard boxes around the house but not enough to protect windows... I've never experiment a typhoon so strong that the windows would be broken but I have my bathroom (bath unit) as safe place just in case. I don't go outside and I just nervously wait for it to be over.
Yes I agree stay home during a typhoon. Once I tried to go somewhere close during a typhoon, only 4 minute bike ride usually it takes me. I figured I could do it. But it actually took me over 15 minutes to get there because the wind was like blowing me backwards, not to mention getting all my rain gear on and off, it was too much hassle for a short errand.
