I decided to have a Japanese traditional wedding. I will wear a kimono and we will have it at either a Shinto shrine or Buddhist temple. Any information or hints or ideas would be appreciated. I’m learning all of this as I go.

Congratulations 👏
I have zero experience with a traditional Japanese wedding.
If you happen to want to wear your wedding kimono as a dress for photos or wedding party, my friend's mother has a company that does that.

Friends got married at Katori Jingu in Chiba Prefecture. The ceremony was very sedate and elegant. The groom's female rellies from abroad wore kimono and said they felt comfortable. They were quite a sight. One peculiar thing is that some of the foreign guests didn't appreciate the recorded gagaku music played in the ceremony. One thing to bear in mind is if you choose a major shrine you could have an audience of strangers when you process between shrine buildings. My friends' wedding at Katori Jingu was during low season so taking photos wasn't rushed and we could have a variety of uncrowded scenes.
Congratulations!!!!!!! Are you going to have any entertainment at your second party? Japanese tend to have a second party for their family and friends. If you are interested, I do ELVIS for wedding and parties. As you might know, I live in Kobe. Anyway congratulations!
