My friends always enjoy Japanese snacks such as Pocky or KitKat Japan limited tastes such as maccha. I'd also recommend to check the "omiyage" corner. Omiyage are the souvenirs Japanese people like to bring home or offer their colleagues/friends when they visit a touristic area so it can be very unique Japanese like products.
I like tenugui because they're very light and compact, so you can easily buy a bunch of them to bring back for friends and family. But in my experience, some people are really happy to receive them, and others don't know what to do with them and never take them out of the package 😅
I guess food is always good! Like Japanese snacks and candy that you can't buy abroad. Japanese tea is nice and light to carry too. Sometimes I buy ingredients or condiments to make Japanese cuisine, that's usually a hit too.
The plastic food! It makes a great gift, interesting and easy to send anywhere! Price and quality ranges to suit all budgets! My favorite is the “spilled coffee.”
