What are some of your daily life challenges? For example what are some funny things and cultural shocks that still happen to you? For example just yesterday I found out it’s normal in Japan to make coffee at the office with only with store bought mineral water? For me, it’s really crazy because when I lived in Turkey, we don’t drink the tap water or cook with it, but it was okay to boil it and drink it for tea or coffee. So this really surprises me.

Japan's water quality is pretty good. If you're curious about Tokyo water, there is Bureau of Waterworks in Tokyo has extensive info. https://www.waterworks.metro.tokyo.lg.jp/eng/faq/qa-13.html If you find the taste a problem, you can put charcoal in a pitcher to soften it. It's a practice that is used to prepare water for tea.
When I say I drink tap water ppl look at me like I was an alien 👽😂 it's so easy to shock some ppl it's ridiculous
Tap water in Japan is drinkable and the city of Nagoya (where I live) makes PR campaigns about the tap water quality. At home I prefer to filter it but occasionally I just drink it unfiltered.
I get shock by the amount of waste ppl can produce daily with all that single use plastic/paper/bamboo/etc. Spending time in an environment where ppl lack of involvement (and interest) in topics that I find essential is really really hard for me. I'm open-minded I can accept that ppl have different values but I'd like to have ppl around sharing my values for once...
